Reclaimed water from the Guadalhorce recycling plant will irrigate green areas in Churriana and Torremolinos within 12 months. A 6.5-million-euro pipeline will supply parks, Malaga football academy, the Parador Golf and the airport. Funding is shared between Malaga council, Torremolinos, the Diputación and private entities, with each administration contributing around 750,000 euros.
